				About Change Ringing

National Cathedral
1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays are general ringing at the Cathedral. Sunday is our performance day; visitors who would like to ring should be able to competently and confidently ring rounds on a mid-weight six. If you're not at this point yet, you are still welcome to visit and observe.

2nd and 4th Sundays are quarter peals at the Cathedral. We typically ring methods ranging from Grandsire Triples to simple Surprise Major to Stedman Caters. If you'd like to be included, please contact us at least two weeks ahead of the Sunday on which you'll be visiting and let us know what you ring and how to contact you. If possible, please include information on how to reach you when you're in Washington, in case we need to inform you of a change in ringing plans. We'll get back in touch to let you know if we can include you in the quarter peal band.

Old Post Office Tower
We occasionally ring quarter peals at the Old Post Office before our Thursday practice. If you'd like to be included, please contact us at least two weeks ahead of the Thursday on which you'll be visiting and let us know what you ring and how to contact you. If possible, please include information on how to reach you when you're in Washington, in case we need to inform you of a change in ringing plans. We'll get back in touch to let you know if there will be a quarter peal in which you can be included.
