Service and Sacrifice Tour

Washington National Cathedral is pleased to offer a one-hour tour honoring America’s servicemen and women.

Examine iconography in Cathedral sculpture, stained glass, and needlework that pays tribute to many significant events in our nation’s history and honors those who have served and sacrificed for their country. The tour also chronicles members of the military who were instrumental in the planning and creation of the Cathedral.

Tours are scheduled (by appointment only) for Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 am. Group size is limited to 25 and a donation of $10 per person is suggested. For more information and to schedule a tour, please contact Anne James Harman, visitor programs manager, at (202) 537-5628 or by email at

Special Veterans Day Tours

In honor of our veterans the Cathedral will offer special Veterans Day tours. The tours are available on Saturday November 7, 2015 and Sunday November 15, 2015. Both tours are at 1:30 pm. Reserve your tickets now!

Parking at the Cathedral

Parking in the Cathedral’s underground garage is free on Sundays for services; parking for concerts and programs is available for an event-parking fee. Learn more about parking options for individuals and groups.
