But we are also gather today as a troubled nation, Lord; for we gather in a time of war, grief and loss. Even as we mark the anniversary of September 11th we grieve the loss of our beloved ones; thousands of innocent lives destroyed by the violent hands of evil’s servants. The violence of that day has also shaken our sense of personal and national security; we no longer live in the comfort of perceived invincibility. Continued... |
