The Reformation: A History

Diarmaid MacCulloch
June 2, 2004

Acclaimed historian and theologian Diarmaid MacCulloch speaks about his latest book, which vividly portrays the drama, intricacy, and ongoing relevance of the Reformation and Counter-Reformation. Taking place from 1490 to 1700, these movements represented the greatest upheaval in western society since the collapse of the Roman Empire a millennium before. MacCulloch is a fellow of St. Cross College, Oxford, and a professor of the history of the Church at Oxford University.
