Message from Craig McKee, president
As we begin a new century of service, the NCA is once again adapting and helping others find ways to support the ministry of the nation’s cathedral. With the support and guidance of the NCA Board of Trustees, the Cathedral has launched a new Partners in Mission program, consolidating NCA membership dues and other annual unrestricted contributions to the Cathedral into one dynamic new program. While the work and mission of the National Cathedral Association is not changing, your annual membership dues will join all unrestricted gifts to the Cathedral to make an even bigger impact. So what does this mean for you as an NCA member? Your NCA membership will now be recognized through our Partners in Mission program. You will receive a new “Partner Card,” which will replace your NCA membership card as the device through which you will receive many of the same benefits as well as a few additional opportunities. Outside of the contribution the NCA has made through membership dues, we will continue to have a network of regional and national volunteers that will conduct the good work it always has for the Cathedral. Our new Partners Program will simply provide all friends of Washington National Cathedral the opportunity to support our efforts, thereby increasing the Cathedral’s national presence. We invite you to lead the way once again and become a Partner of Washington National Cathedral. Your continued support of Washington National Cathedral through our Partners in Mission program will help the Cathedral live into a new century, a new calling and help us fulfill our mission as a catalyst for hope, healing, and reconciliation into our next 100 years. Supporting the Cathedral financially through this new program will not affect your NCA connection. Regardless of the amount you give to support the Cathedral's ministry, you will remain a colleague in the NCA and a treasured friend of the Cathedral.
I am deeply grateful for your continued support of the mission and ministry of Washington National Cathedral.
Sincerely,

NCA Membership vs. Frequently Asked Questions |
Q: Will I still be a member of the NCA? A: You will still be part of the NCA, though there is no longer a cost to join. The NCA is expanding from a traditional “membership” structure to one that reflects a true “partnership” involving all friends, giving us more opportunities to increase our national outreach. Instead of affiliating as a member, you now a part of the broader Washington National Cathedral community and remain a very much a part of our national corps of friends and volunteers. Q: Has the NCA gone away? A: No. The National Cathedral Association’s mission is as vital as ever and remains “to communicate, extend, and support Washington National Cathedral’s ministry to the nation.” In fact, new networks are being created and we are defining expanded roles and responsibilities for our Regional Volunteer Leaders across the country. Q: I want to continue to support the NCA. How can I do this? A: When you make a contribution to the Cathedral, your gifts are supporting not only the national outreach work of the NCA, but all areas of the Cathedral’s life, just as it always been. All gifts will continue to support the Cathedral’s operating budget and therefore the entire mission of the Cathedral as it has in the past; moving forward we are using one primary vehicle as a means to raise funds in support of our missionThe Cathedral Fund. If you would like to renew your support of our mission today through the Cathedral Fund today, please click here. Q: Will I still receive a membership card? A: When you contribute at the minimum $60 level to the vital work of the Cathedral, you will receive a Partner in Mission card, which entitles you to receive many of the same benefits of your former NCA membership, including a 10%15% discount on retail store and catalogue purchases. Q: Can I continue to use my current NCA membership card? A: We will honor current NCA membership cards until December 31, 2008. Q: Whom do I contact with questions?
