A Call to Support

Spring, 2008

Dean Lloyd

Dear Friend,

As Spring’s first hopeful shoots emerge from the ground surrounding this beautiful Cathedral, I want to take a few moments to thank you for your generous support of our work at Washington National Cathedral. We hope you will participate in our programs and events either in person or on-line, especially during our Centennial Celebration.

For 100 years, the Cathedral has been home to a vibrant community of people who come together to worship, celebrate, and share in spiritual and civic discourse. I hope you’ll take some time to browse our website and explore what the Cathedral has to offer—in its unique, multifaceted role as a convening place for great national and church events, as a beacon of reconciliation to our society and the world, and as a source of valuable programming, which provides cultural and educational inspiration to so many people.

As we continue the commemoration of the centennial anniversary of this national institution, won’t you join with me in supporting Washington National Cathedral’s commitment and service? I encourage you to make a gift today using our secure on-line donation form. Your participation is vital, since we receive no government or national church funding. Thank you for your support of the National Cathedral—a focal point for reconciliation and an inspiration for so many.

With every good wish,
