What If Love Is the Answer Dear Friends, We have all seen how beautifully we humans can respond to others need in times of crisis. Yet in the frantic pace of our wired, 24/7 world, it is difficult to sustain a loving posture toward all that we encounter day in and day out, within and without. From looking the clerk in the eye to saving the planet, we feel the inner pull to be motivated not by fear, but by love, to right injustice not from anger, but out of love and gratitude. This deep love is grounded in wisdom and has its own power. With skillful practice, it can pervade our daily lives in a real way where we can sense the difference were making for ourselves and in our circles of influence. A few months ago, the Harvard Pluralism Project recognized Sacred Circles as a national example of womens interfaith community. The timing coincided with the programs tenth anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, and in answer to many requests, we have expanded the 2007 program with intensive daylong workshops on Friday, and an enhanced plenary gathering on Saturday afternoon. This year we will also intensify efforts to green the conference, purchasing carbon offsets for our energy use, among other activities. Whether you are a regular Sacred Circles participant or are new to this grand gathering of women, come join this spiritual adventure. We will drink from each others experience, bond in courage and hopeand open wide to a new, shared commitment to be wise practitioners of love in the world. With love, Grace Ogden, Convener, Rosana Azar, Robin Carnes, Sally Craig, Robin DeBlosi, Uzma Farooq, Barbara Graham, Keeva Harmon, Kathy English Holt, Aydan Kalyoncu, the Rev. Jean Milliken, Pythia Peay, Holly Taya Shere, Lee Tidball, Rukmini Walker, the Rev. Carol Wade, Devon Ward-Thommes and Juanita Weaver
