The Echo in the Well:
The Secret Voices of Everyday Life

David Whyte

David Whyte

At Washington National Cathedral just days after September 11, 2001, poet and Fortune 500 consultant David Whyte spoke at the edges of heartbreak and renewal. Now at a new time needing our vision and courage, he shares again in a dynamic mix of poetry, recitation, and storytelling.

In corporate settings and wilderness retreats alike, Whyte invites us to drop into our inner depths to receive the nourishment of the universal, and to listen for the directions of the heart we find there in response.

Join this experience where the soul’s wisdom dares us to find the true ways forward at work, home, and in the global challenges we face.

David Whyte, originally from Yorkshire, is an associate fellow at Templeton College and Said Business School at the University of Oxford. He is one of the few poets to take his perspectives on creativity into the field of organizational development, both in U.S. and international companies. His eight titles include the new collection River Flow: New and Selected Poems 1984–2007, The Heart Aroused: Poetry and the Preservation of the Soul in Corporate America, and Crossing the Unknown Sea: Work as a Pilgrimage of Identity.

Ticket prices: $16—regular; $9—Students, Seniors 65+, Limited Income.
