the Cathedral invites people of all faiths and denominations to come together and join in prayer for the people and elected officials of
Vermont

  • Invited Vermont religious leaders
  • Invited Vermont elected officials
  • An opening procession featuring colorful banners carried by acolytes and youth from Vermont churches and houses of worship
  • Guests of Vermont serving as bearers of the communion elements and gifts to the poor

11:15 amVermont Major State Day Worship Service (webcast)
The Hon. John Lewis, guest preacher
The Right Rev. Thomas Ely, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont, guest presider
12:30 pmVermont Day Cathedral Coffee Hour Fellowship
12:45 pm onwards Short 35 minute tour of the Cathedral featuring the ways Vermont is represented in the Cathedral
3:30 pmChoral Prelude (to the 4 pm Evensong service), sung by the Green Mountain College Choir and Cantorion from Poultney, Vermont, under the direction of Mr. James P. Cassarino
