PASSES AVAILABLE FOR SEATING SERVICE Katharine Jefferts Schori will be seated in the Presiding Bishops official chair during the 11 am All Saints Sunday liturgy on November 5 at Washington National Cathedral. The service will be webcast live on www.nationalcathedral.org. Bishop Jefferts Schori, who was elected in June as the 26th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church and is the first woman in Anglicanisms five-century history to serve in this capacity, will preside and preach. Passes will be available to the public at Cathedrals west front (Wisconsin Avenue side) on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 am on November 5. The joyful service includes an array of musical offerings, prayers and dance. The Blindman brothers from the Bishops home diocese of Nevada will gather the assembly for worship with drums and chant. The Omega Dance Company of New York will call the congregation to prayer through sacred movement. Performances by the Gospel Choir from the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas in Philadelphia, Sandra Montes and SOL from Iglesia Episcopal San Mateo in Houston and the Combined Choirs of Washington National Cathedral are also scheduled. As Presiding Bishop, Jefferts Schori, 52, will become chief pastor to the U.S.-based Episcopal Church, which includes more than 2.4 million members.
