What: Come and Behold Him,” an annual exhibit of crèches from around the world, opens November 20 at Washington National Cathedral.

When: The exhibit opens November 20 and will run through January 8, 2007.

Where: Rare Book Library Exhibit Room, Washington National Cathedral, Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues, N.W.

Details: For more than fifteen years the Cathedral has been exhibiting nativity scenes from its collection of crèches from around the world. These scenes, which depict the birth of Jesus, are created from materials as varied as Alabama driftwood to African beads, and come from cultures as diverse as those of South America and Asia. These colorful sets demonstrate the many ways this story is told the world over. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to share the Christmas story.
