Kim Carlson Appointed Budget and Finance Director

Kim Carlson has been promoted to Budget and Finance Director. In this position, Carlson will become a member of the Cathedral’s Senior Staff. She has been serving as Budget and Finance Officer. “To handle the Cathedral’s complex financial structure and the on-going work, especially in the design and implementation of the new chart of accountants, it was appropriate to promote Ms. Carlson and hire a new staff accountant,” said Tina Mead, Cathedral provost. The Cathedral is presently looking to fill the newly established staff accountant position. The responsibility of this individual will be to maintain the Cathedral’s general accounting record, collect and analyze financial data, work on the annual budget process, and help design departmental reports. The person hired for this position will report directly to Carlson. Carlson’s prior work experiences include controller for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, crisis intervention counselor, and managerial level consultant in the financial and operations industry. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Pace University in Pleasantville, New York, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
