The Triumphal Entry, stained glass window designed by Rowan LeCompte (nave south clerestory).
Our Cathedral pilgrimage of Holy Week begins in the clerestory. The St. Paul window
(south side of nave, nearest the great crossing) depicts Jesus triumphal entry
into Jerusalem. The crowd waving palm branches in the left lancet welcomes the Master
on a donkey, a humble animal yet the same that Saul rode when he became Israels
first king, depicted in the second lancet. The third lancet foreshadows the cross,
while the fourth lancet depicts the windows namesake. (Artist: Rowan LeCompte).
