This vibrant worship will feature diverse music and dance. You are invited to join in the commissioning of all who are inspired to participate in and advocate the vital work of Washington National Cathedral in its new century of service. Come catch the Spirit on this joyous day. Everyone is welcome. The service is free and open to the public, no passes required, but if you can, please let us know that you will be joining us. The Cathedral community gathered for a worship experience of lively music, dance and praise. Cathedral Dean Samuel T. Lloyd III preached at this service commemorating the Cathedral’s rich history. The Right Rev. John Bryson Chane, Episcopal bishop of Washington, was the presider, with the Right Rev. Nathan D. Baxter, the Right Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon, the Right Rev. A. Theodore Eastman, the Right Rev. Ronald H. Haines. the Right Rev. Barbara C. Harris and the Very Rev. Charles A. Perry, concelebrants.
