In other words, communities that reflect the gospel of Christ Jesus.”  The Right Reverend Steven Charleston is the President of Episcopal Divinity School, as well as a professor of Theology.

He received his BA from Trinity College, his M.Div. from Episcopal Divinity School and DDs from Alaska Pacific University and Trinity College. He has served as Executive Director of the National Committee on Indian Work at the Episcopal Church Center; Director of the Dakota Leadership program, Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Creator and Director of Cross Cultural Studies at Luther-Northwestern Theological Seminary; Episcopal Bishop of Alaska; and Chaplain, Trinity College.

Recent publications include: The Middle Way: A Congregational Resource for Discussing The Windsor Report (EDS); Good News: A Congregational Resource for Reconciliation (EDS); “Changing Strategy for Economic and Environmental Justice” in The Witness; article on Matthew Shepard in Southern Voices, and a variety of articles on spirituality and ministry written for Lutheran and Episcopal publications.
