Thanks to Generous Donors — The Walker Fern Garden is Dedicated
Family and Friends of Diana and Mallory Walker gathered in late April to bless the newest garden on the Cathedral Close—the ephemeral and fern garden located just north of the Cathedral College. The Rev. Canon Mary Sulerud offered a prayer and landscape architect Michael Vergason offered observations on the colorful spring garden nestled behind the stone wall abutting Woodley Road.
The garden was given in honor of the Walkers by their children, Taylor and Jane Timberlake Walker and Willy and Sheila Walker, and features an array of spring bulbs and ephemerals, followed by a a glorious medley of ferns throughout the seasons. Visitors can rest on benches during their visit. Don't miss this beautiful new addition to the Cathedral Close this spring.
